Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
In short: we don't use cookies to track you, analyse your visit or show you adverts. Browsing our website and using our contact form doesn't place any cookies on your device.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They're widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and sometimes to track visitors for analytics or advertising.
2. How we use cookies
Becoming You is a trading name of Be You Therapy Solutions Ltd. We keep cookies to an absolute minimum. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and we don't allow third parties to set cookies through our website.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
The only cookies our website sets are strictly necessary cookies used by WordPress, the system that runs our website. They're set only when a member of our team logs in to manage the website — not when you visit or get in touch:
- wordpress_test_cookie — checks that the browser accepts cookies when logging in. Deleted when the browser is closed.
- wordpress_sec_[…] and wordpress_logged_in_[…] — keep an authorised user securely logged in. Expire after up to 14 days.
- wp-settings-[…] and wp-settings-time-[…] — remember the user's admin screen preferences. Expire after one year.
Because these cookies are essential for the website to work securely, the law doesn't require us to ask for consent to use them.
4. Other websites and services
Our website links to other websites and services, such as crisis helplines and professional bodies. If you follow these links, those websites may set their own cookies, as described in their own policies.
If you have online sessions with us, the secure video platform we use may set cookies needed to run your call. We'll share details of the platform with you before your first online session.
5. Managing cookies
You can view, block and delete cookies through your browser settings. Your browser's help pages will explain how, or you can find guidance on the Information Commissioner's Office website. Blocking cookies won't affect your ability to browse our website or contact us.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce cookies that aren't strictly necessary, such as analytics, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
7. Contact us
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at hello@becomingyou.co.uk. You can read more about how we handle your personal information in our Privacy Policy.
